Chemical Peels
in Dartford

A professional peel that lifts dead skin cells and prompts new cell growth, used to even out skin tone, soften the look of age spots and improve overall clarity. One practitioner, one private treatment room.

What it is

Fresher skin, from the surface down

A chemical peel is a solution applied to the skin that loosens and lifts the outer layer of dead skin cells, prompting the skin to renew itself. Our Naqua peel sits on the no-needle menu, used to even out tone, soften the look of age spots and bring back clarity to dull-looking skin.

Not every peel suits every skin, which is why it starts with a consultation. If your main concern is texture or scarring, microneedling may be a better fit, and the free skin analysis will show you which.

Who it suits

What a chemical peel can help with

A chemical peel may suit you if you want to:

  • Even out the look of uneven skin tone.
  • Soften the appearance of age spots and pigmentation.
  • Brighten dull, tired-looking skin and improve clarity.
  • Refine the look of rough or uneven texture.

A peel is not suitable for everyone. Pregnancy or breastfeeding, active cold sores or skin infection, recent sunburn or tanning, some skin conditions and certain medications, including some acne medications, may mean we wait or suggest something else. Your consultation confirms suitability.

Your appointment

What happens on the day

01Skin check: a look at your skin and questions about your history, medication and the products you use.
02Preparation: the skin is cleansed and prepared so the peel works evenly.
03The peel: applied and timed to the protocol, with your skin checked throughout.
04Aftercare: SPF and written aftercare advice, plus an honest view of whether a course makes sense.

How many sessions

One peel, or a short course

Some clients book a single peel to refresh their skin. For pigmentation or uneven texture, a short course is usually more effective, with time between peels for the skin to recover. The number of peels and the spacing are set at your consultation, based on your skin and your goals. Results vary between individuals.

Downtime & aftercare

Downtime and aftercare

Depending on your skin, you may notice redness, tightness or light flaking for a few days. Some people see very little visible peeling at all. The essentials:

  • Use SPF 50 daily, and avoid sunbeds and deliberate sun exposure while your skin recovers.
  • Let any flaking skin come away on its own. Do not pick, peel or scrub it.
  • Skip retinoids, exfoliating acids and scrubs until your skin has settled.
  • Avoid saunas, steam rooms, swimming and hot, sweaty workouts for 48 hours.
  • Use a gentle cleanser and moisturiser in the meantime.
  • Contact us straight away if anything concerns you after your appointment.

Common questions

Before you book

Will my skin visibly peel?

Not always. Some people notice light flaking for a few days, others see very little. Visible peeling is not the only sign that a peel has worked.

Is there any downtime?

Redness, tightness or light flaking for a few days is typical. Plan your peel a week or so before anything important, and ask us about timing at your consultation.

How many peels will I need?

Some clients have a single peel to refresh their skin. For pigmentation or texture, a short course usually works better. The number and spacing are confirmed at your consultation.

Can I have a peel in summer?

Yes, with care. Freshly peeled skin is more sensitive to the sun, so SPF 50 every day and avoiding sun exposure are essential. If you have a holiday planned, tell us the dates.

Is a peel suitable for my skin?

Often, yes, but pregnancy, active cold sores or infection, recent tanning, some skin conditions and certain medications can rule it out or mean waiting. Your consultation confirms suitability.

Where are you, and is there parking?

154 Colney Road, Dartford, DA1 1UH. There is free parking on the main road directly outside.
